Paula was born in Townsville in 1970 and raised in various rural towns in Queensland before arriving in Brisbane in the mid 80’s.

Her earliest memory of art class was in Dayboro in 1978, where her teacher was a third-generation artist and her encouragement and skill sharing made its mark. Paula recently studied a Diploma of Visual Art at Southbank TAFE, and learned new skills and refined some old ones. She has picked up inspiration from local artists with each relocation, including ink stippling at the age of 8, which introduced her to fine detailing and patience.

Paula has acquired skills and guidance from experienced professional artists over the years and subsequently has expressed herself creatively in many different fields and mediums i.e. creating characters and logos for a range of products, brochure artwork (non digital), tattoo design and line work, furniture upcycling and remodelling, wildlife drawing, and ink portraiture.
